Welcome to St. John & St. Stephens, a vibrant Anglican church in Reading, Berkshire. As well as being a recognised Eco-Congregation we are strongly commited to our local community with its diverse needs. Over the past thirty years we have helped to establish St. Johns Primary School, CommuniCare (a free advice & advocacy centre), Phillipi Counselling Centre, Older People Lunch Club , Community Cafe and many other social projects (see Mission section on this website).
At the heart of the church are home groups, which are gatherings of 12 or so people meeting together during the week- in houses across Reading-for food, worship, study, prayer and fun! At different times of the year we also run courses for those who are enquiring about or just getting going in the christian faith.
