What would you do to help those who are homeless in Reading?
The young people in St John’s church spent the evening of Saturday February 4th building shelters and learning about the experiences of those who have to live out on the streets of Reading at night.
The next morning, waking bleary-eyed from their shelters, they helped lead the morning all-age service with Alison Peyton.

After the success of last years Lent series of Films examing various directors approaches to the life of Christ (Jesus of Nazareth, Last temptation of Christ, Passion of Christ, Jesus of Montreal) it has been decided that we will run another series this year. The movies chosen for this year will not directly tackle any biblical story or theme but have been carefully selected instead for their powerful individual vision and challenge as contempory cinema. Sometimes provocative, sometimes disturbing and maybe even, at times, spiritually uplifting, these films will allow us to enter another world which in turn will inform and challenge our own.
All are welcome, refreshments provided. Time: Thursday @ 7.45pm Feb 25th, Mar 4th, Mar 11th, Mar 18th, Mar 25th.
